[Obviously it's a bit hot to drink just yet (and after the events in Elios' lands her thoughts on temperature are... complicated right now), so she just holds the mug with both hands in her lap for a moment, the mice splitting up between tea sniffing and nuzzling Awesome Blue Paladin Friend and Awesome Princess Friend.]
... I'm glad you and Hunk are well again. It's been a while since I was that worried about anything.
I'm sorry about all that. I mean...I know it wasn't technically my fault we went nuts, but I want to apologize anyway for worrying you. The last thing I want is for people to have to worry about me.

[Allura shakes her head.] You weren't yourselves, and it wasn't your choice to have your amulets stolen. [Her expression darkens for a second.] I would like to get my hands on the thieves responsible for this though...
[She already told them all that Peromei was trapped with Elios in his cave now after teleporting them out, but that was more or less all she said before excusing herself.]
He's very unbalanced with love, and I think still grief-stricken over losing his lands. The way he's acting right now... it actually reminded me a lot of my father's AI, when he became corrupted...
I'll never understand the way these...whatever they are work here. The guys in charge of emotions. Being unbalanced with too much love just seems so weird.
[He taps his fingers lightly on the roof tiles beneath him.]
Really? I know that wasn't a fun time for any of us, but especially for you...yeah.
It wasn't. [Not then and especially not now.] Elios kept trying to trap us in ice with some sort of dunamis, trying to make us complacent with love. It... reminded me too much of how my father's AI almost made me pilot the Castle into that star... [A bitter smile crosses her lips.] That was probably the only reason I was able to resist as well as I did.
[He reaches up to gently place a hand on Allura's shoulder, giving it a light squeeze. She's free to brush it off, and he won't be offended; not everyone responds to physical comfort the way he does, but it's always worth a shot.]
I'm really sorry you had to go through that feeling again. It couldn't have been easy.
[She doesn't brush it off; she won't move to place her hand on his or to lean in, but she welcomes the touch nonetheless.]
It wasn't, nor for the other people affected by the spell, especially that last attempt in his cave. He laced in images of people we care for, happy memories...
[Again, not unlike her father's AI when she was preparing to shut him down, not that the others ever saw that part. So that extra bit of pain in her face as she shivers might seem a bit our of place. But then she shakes herself back.]
When we resisted that, he became very angry. Lava started to burst from cracks in the floor. The only reason we're still standing is because Peromei teleported us out... but now she's trapped in that cave with him...
[Lance still doesn't understand most of this. Peromei, the other god-like creatures... They're still so far from his comprehension. Lance is the kind of guy who lives his life day to day, leaving this sort of things for people more familiar with these beings.
But if Allura is getting involved, then maybe he can't sit back anymore.]
I don't know if I can do anything to save Peromei or whatever, but if this whole thing is affecting all of us, I'll help fix the effectsfrom the whole thing.
Thank you, Lance. There should be rituals set up soon to help with all of this. Hopefully they'll do some good. She showed so much power and bravery in the cave but... I keep thinking of the tiny little unicorn trotting toward me and giving a bouquet. And Kevin's words about needing to keep her and her balance safe... I can't help but feel I let him down as well...
You didn't let anyone down. This all seems way bigger than just one or two of us, you know? We can't fight the same way we could back home. We're just kind of...normal people, and there's only really so much we can do when something like this happens.
I guess you're right. [Sigh.] I suppose being able to actually save the universe back home has spoiled me a bit. And the peace we'd had up to this as well.
